Canyon Clipper Fishing Reports

June 23   2008 - Early Summer Fishing Report - Flounder, Tuna, Drum.

Charters to the Old Grounds are yielding nice early season doormat flounder. The "football" bluefin tuna are moving inshore while yellowfin and other offshore species are being caught during our offshore charters. The drum fish bite still remains strong, providing a taste of the offshore fight on a near-shore budget. We're still averaging about 7 per trip in the 70 to 80 lb range!

April 19   2008 - Slammin’ Spring Stripers !

The Steve Stankiewicz charter experienced plenty of action Saturday night landing   twenty-three spring stripers, three of which were fat 30 inchers!

Sept 4  2007 - Tuna, Marlin, Flounder, Fall Striper. . .

The tuna fishing is still hot offshore and inshore. We had a 350 lb blue marlin that took a blue and white feather and the fight was on a 30w. It took a hour and half to bring in the big boy.

The flounder and sea-bass should up at the old grounds and the cape may reef. The season is about over it ends Sept 10.

I'm starting to book for the fall Striper so if you want a good date don't wait to call.
